broadcasts and full-screen DVD movies. It includes a 181-channel analog
NTSC tuner that receives standard-definition programming. It includes
three Picture Preference presets (standard, sports, movie) as well as a
Memory Mode that allows you to customize your own settings and save them.

picture symbols of key menu functions instead of plain text. Other
features include an ergonomic, glow-key remote control, tri-lingual
on-screen displays, and V-chip parental control. The FST PURE flat screen picture tube delivers increased viewing angles
along with the enhanced picture linearity necessary to produce accurate,

fast-forward, and SP/SLP record speeds.
The DVD player features compatibility with DVD-R, VCD, and CD-R/CD-RW
discs. With the JPEG Viewer, you can easily display your favorite
digital photos and create custom slideshows with a few simple clicks of
the player's remote control. You can play discs burned with MP3 and WMA
digital audio files, and it's also DivX Home Theater Certified--meaning
that it's compatible with video burned to disc using both the DivX video
format. The interactive Digital Picture Zoom feature allows you to
select an area of the video from a DVD and magnify it. Other DVD
playback features include multi-angle viewing, multiple subtitle
selection, slow motion, fast scan (2x, 4x, 8x, 20x), and parental lock.
This set also includes a USB interface, enabling you to connect "mass

Tech Talk
DivX is a compressed digital video format (like MP3) that's
based on the MPEG-4 video compression standard. It can reduce the video
from a DVD (MPEG-2) to around 10 percent of its original size while
still retaining good video and audio quality, enabling you to store
several two-hour length movies on burned DVD media.
