27-inch Akai LCT2701TD LCD TV with integrated side slot-loading DVD
player. It's ready to display high-definition television programming
(480p, 720p, and 1080i) with an optional HD receiver or via an
HD-capable cable/satellite set-top box. It can also be used as a PC
monitor with a VGA input. The DVD player is compatible with DVD movie
and CD audio discs as well as music mixes burned to CD-R/RW discs. It features a 1366 x 768-pixel native resolution, 550 cd/m2 high
brightness rating for a brilliant picture in any environment, and 1000:1
contrast ratio for an incredible picture with deeper blacks and brighter

The LCT2701TD performs 3:2 pulldown detection and reversal, too--a
handy feature for watching progressive-scan movie programs in their
native 24-frame format. To adapt 24 frames-per-second movies to 30 fps
video, frames in the original movie must be duplicated; 3:2 pulldown
digitally corrects this duplication by removing the redundant
information to display a frame-accurate picture. The 2D comb filter
separates chrominance (color) from luminance (brightness) information in
the video signal for independent processing to improve picture
resolution and minimize distortion.

Component Video Input: You'll get great picture reproduction
from compatible DVD players or cable/satellite set-top boxes using the
three-jack component video (Y/Pb/Pr) output, which provides separate
connections for luminance (Y), blue color difference (PB) and red color
difference (PR). This results in increased bandwidth for color
information, resulting in a more accurate picture with clearer color
reproduction and less bleeding than you would get with S-Video or
composite (RCA yellow video plug) connections.
