Set up a home security system with a camera that can be controlled with
the same remote that manages your A/V components. The Black & Decker
Freewire Monitoring Camera Kit includes a black & white camera that can
be mounted indoors or outdoors with the included mounting hardware. The
camera transmits surveillance video to the included receiver, which
plugs directly into your television set or VCR. The universal remote
control can manage up to four A/V components, such as your TV, cable or
satellite, DVD player and VCR, as well as up to four cameras. It will
even turn on and off Freewire-connected lights in groups of up to four
(Freewire receivers not included). The remote is powered by two AAA
batteries, not included. The Black & Decker Freewire Monitoring Camera
Kit offers convenient and reliable control of your entire house with the
touch of a button. Monitor your front door, back yard, or baby's room
with a weather-resistant black & white camera that's safe for outdoor
use. A video cable is included to connect the camera to your television
or VCR. The camera can transmit up to 100 feet; extension video cables
are not included. Plug the camera in and set the code wheel to an X10
address. For easy addressing, insert an X10 Code Clicker (not included)
into the dial wheel. A code list is included with the kit to program
the remote to control your existing components. You can also use this
wireless remote to turn cameras on and off, and it will also control
lights or groups of lights around your home. Lights plugged into
Freewire modules can receive the RF signals sent by the remote from
anywhere in the house. You'll appreciate the security afforded by the
Black & Decker Freewire Monitoring Camera Kit, which offers 256 channels
and 64,000 unique codes to ensure a secure system for your home.
Freewire is also compatible with HomeLink to operate garage doors,
lighting and more
