Tilley Airflo designs incorporate mesh into the crown allowing coolness
and comfort during hot days or strenuous activities. Engineered from
Tilley Nylamtium, a strong water- and mildew-resistant form of nylon. It
has a semi-sloping front and back brim and a relatively high crown. The
AMC American Cancer Research Center has tested all Tilley Hats and
certified that they block 98% of harmful UVA and UVB radiation, and
provide the highest certification rating of Ultraviolet Protection
Rating (UPF) 50. This is the maximum rating given. Measurements: Front:
2-5/8"; Back: 2-3/4", Sides 2 1/8". Weighs 4 oz. Stays on in the wind
using the wind cord, even while skydiving! - Won't shrink - Secret
pocket in the crown: carry ID, cash or credit card - Repels rain and
mildew resistant - British brass grommets and snaps. Hat Sizing: Tilley
Hats fit more comfortably than other hats. To find your size, simply use
a tape measure to measure around your head in inches, just above your
eyebrows (do not pull tight). Order options are given in inches and hat
size. If you already know your regular hat size, please order one size
larger when you order your Tilley. Tilley's Guarantee: If you ever
succeed in wearing out your Tilley Hat, send us the remains and we will
replace it free. Upon purchase, your Hat is covered by a two year,
all-peril, 50% deductible, Hat Insurance Policy to take the pain out of
loss or irreparable damage. Fabric Story: The lighterweight Tilley (LT)
Hats are handcrafted of a strong, laminated, waterproof nylon, Tilley
Nylamtium. Washing Instructions: Machine wash in warm or cool water. Do
not use bleach. Smooth and reshape the Hat by hand and set it out to air
dry. Available in Natural with Green Underbrim and Khaki with Olive
Underbrim. The Natural color hat is Special Order for sizes 7, 7 7/8, 8,
and 8 . The Khaki color hat is available only thru special order. Sizes
7- 8 (fits up to 8 3/8). Special orders usually take 5-8 days to ship.
